The North Carolina Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission is notifying you that it has approved the above-referenced case for parole. This notice is being sent to you in order for the Commission to comply with North Carolina General Statute 15A-1371(3).

The state's current sentencing law, Structured Sentencing, eliminates parole for crimes committed on or after October 1, 1994. However, the Commission has the responsibility of paroling offenders who were sentenced under previous sentencing guidelines.
