Iranian official states ‘next war with Israel will be final’

(MENAFN) A senior Iranian source has told RT that any future war between Iran and Israel would be the “last,” warning that Tehran is prepared to unleash a sustained missile barrage capable of overwhelming Israeli defenses.

Speaking anonymously, the official claimed that Iran had uncovered critical weaknesses in Israel’s security during the recent 12-day conflict, which concluded with a US-brokered ceasefire. “Iran will make the next war with Israel its last war,” the source stated, adding that the Islamic Republic could launch hundreds of missiles daily and had identified Israel’s “weak point.”

According to the source, Iran enjoys broad public support—both domestically and among the diaspora—for using what they described as a “historic opportunity” to permanently eliminate the threat posed by Israel. The official also acknowledged the likelihood of US military intervention but expressed confidence that Iran could withstand it.

The comments follow a flare-up earlier this month, during which Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites over concerns about Tehran's alleged nuclear weapons development. Iran responded by striking Israeli targets and a US base in Qatar. The US then hit Iranian enrichment facilities at Natanz and Fordow.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claimed that Iran’s counterstrikes significantly weakened Israel’s military capabilities, but said full victory was blocked by US involvement. While a fragile ceasefire remains in place, tensions persist. President Donald Trump has warned of further US strikes if Iran pursues nuclear weapons, a claim Iran continues to deny.

Though Tehran’s missile arsenal is widely recognized as one of the region’s largest, independent assessments of the damage or missile capabilities remain limited. Experts caution that Iran’s threats may be partly rhetorical, but still reflect serious regional instability.
