Barcelona Secures Goalkeeper Joan Garcia
(MENAFN) Spanish LaLiga giants Barcelona have finalized the acquisition of Spanish shot-stopper Joan Garcia from city rivals Espanyol on Friday.
The club confirmed that they have signed a contract with the 24-year-old netminder which will run until 2031.
Although Barcelona stated they activated the player's buyout clause, reports suggest that the deal was concluded for EURO25 million (USD28.7 million).
“I’m very happy, culers. I’m really looking forward to sharing great moments with you,” Garcia said. He also claimed a gold medal with Spain’s men's football team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
